Communications Officer
Ms. O’Donnell serves as the Communications Officer for the Abortion
Access Project, a continuation for her commitment to women’s health and
rights. Prior to joining AAP, Ms. O’Donnell worked at the Women and
Public Policy Program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of
government, drafting grants, organizing donor engagement activities in
Liberia, and supporting the Executive Director. Her past experience
includes NSF-sponsored research and writing with Professor Rosanna
Hertz on her 2006 book capturing a qualitative study of single
motherhood. Other reproductive health and rights work has included
internships at Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts’s development
department, Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s government
relations department, and Our Bodies Ourselves’ translation and
adaptation program. Ms. O’Donnell graduated cum laude from Wellesley
College with Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Relations and
Latin American Studies. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. Ms. O’Donnell coordinates and develops
electronic and print communications, articles and reports, while
supporting the communications activities of diverse national projects.
