Director of the ROE Consortium

Ms. Cappiello has a strong interest and commitment to the field of reproductive health care of women. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing at the University of New Hampshire, where she has been teaching family and adult nurse practitioner students for the past 15 years. Her teaching emphasis has been on interactive, self directed approaches to learning. She has a strong interest in international health issues, developing curriculum and accompanying students to Belize and Guatemala for their field experiences. In addition to teaching, she works as a nurse practitioner at the Feminist Health Center of Portsmouth, providing women and their partners with comprehensive reproductive health care. Combining her academic and clinical interests, she is conducting qualitative research on Women Experience of Decision Making with Medication Abortion while pursuing her PhD at the University of Wales. Ms. Cappiello has served on the ROE Consortium Advisory Committee since it was formed in 2002 and will continue her academic and clinical work in addition to directing the ROE Consortium part-time from her office in New Hampshire.
