Presenting on two topics related to AAP’s work, Executive
Director Melanie Zurek took the floor to discussion self-induced abortion with
misoprostol and expanding abortion access by developing APCs as providers. With colleague organizations showing
sustained interest in the use of misoprostol outside a clinical setting,
Melanie’s presentation at TAWG is indicative that the field is ripe for
informed action. Work around APCs
continues on a state-by-state level. National
organization represented at the meeting hold the potential to extend their
resources to the development of these providers on the ground.
