AAP continues its stewardship of the revived Washington State Association of Abortion Providers, holding a spring meeting on May 6th in Seattle. In addition to offering a networking opportunity for providers and advocates, the meeting will include a panel on the use of misoprostol alone for self-induced abortion, including AAP Executive Director Melanie Zurek, an update on the state-wide resident training initiative on miscarriage management, and a presentation by Grayson Dempsey, founder of Backline, a talk line offering a confidential space for women to talk openly about pregnancy, parenting, abortion and adoption.
